Annie Acorn is a prolific, internationally known author, whose readership recognizes her mainly for her cozy mysteries and richly woven stories with a warm southern flair.  She is a founding member of From Women’s Pens – A Cooperative of Women Writers.

Annie is the mother of two sons and lives in the Washington, D.C. area, where she has done technical writing for AHRQ, NIH, SAMHSA, and the University of Maryland as a contractor.

She owned a tri-state medical outsourcing business for a number of years, once “flipped” a retail company, managed cemeteries, and directed a behavioral healthcare company.  She has published in The Christian Writer, and she edited an in-house publication for the State of Mississippi.  A number of articles by Annie can be found at ezinearticles.com.  Her blog at annieacorn.com is featured on Zingsphere.

In her spare time, Ms. Acorn enjoys reading, writing mysteries, listening to classical music, playing cards, and spending time with her friends – usually at a restaurant serving delicious food.

Hello, my name is Aubrey and I am an aspiring writer. I was wondering if you’d be interested in reading and reviewing my book?

    • Annie says:

Aubrey, Thank you for the compliment of asking me to read your book. Is your book already published and you would like a review, or are you looking for a publisher? At this time, my reviews are limited to Best Reads on annieacorn.com. I would be willing to accept a Kindle copy for consideration for this page on the website. My email information is supplied under Contact. Annie Acorn Publishing will not be accepting further submissions before April of next year, but if you are still looking for a publisher at that time, please consider us. Annie

Hi Annie Just this past weekend I read your book cover to cover and was finally inspired to lose the 50lbs that have plagued me for over 30 years!! I am 56 Mom to 3 grown kids and a Nana to 7!! I work as a full time Nanny. I can’t tell you how profound your logic was in this book. It will be my go to book whenever I am feeling out of control. Thank you so much Best, Gail MacLeod Concord Mass

Gail – Thank you so much for your wonderful comment. Your words are the reason I chose to share my story. My email is in the back of the book. Please keep me advised as to your progress! Best wishes! – Annie 🙂

  3. This is going to sound weird and it freaked me out a bit when I first discovered you, but your pseudonym is my real name: first and last. Elizabeth Lynx is just a pen name. I too write romances (contemporary romance) and live in the Washington DC area. Seriously! So, your pen name is my real name.
Can I ask you, why Acorn? There is a reason I didn’t use that name when I started writing (too many bad memories being taunted in school).

Elizabeth – Neat! Annie is my real name/nickname, and folks always said about my father and me that the acorn hadn’t fallen far from the tree. Come again! Annie 🙂
